Red cabbage is the finer sister of white cabbage – the smaller heads from a red dye with special ingredients that are recognized for their many health benefits.

The lush red hue of this cabbage will make you want to munch on it. The delicate bite and mild acidity pamper the palate. We season it ready to cook. That way it tastes really good.

Red cabbage as a finer option

At Hengstenberg, the processing of red cabbage enjoys the same attention as that of white cabbage.
We harvest early cabbage in September and main cabbage from October to November. But it undergoes special treatment as it is cooked, seasoned and packaged.

Blanced or cooked red cabbage

No matter if it is blanched or cooked, it is always prepared according to the Hengstenberg recipe. Our red cabbage is cooked and simply needs to be heated up for only four minutes. And then it is ready to be served. Our prepared red cabbage is perfect for you to flavor with spices according to your individual taste. Cook it for 15 minutes and then serve.
